Arim Roshi

Supporting and empowering widows of
fallen IDF soldiers.

About Us

The ongoing war that Israel is fighting has taken a significant toll, resulting in an influx of young widows. The heartache and challenges faced by these widows and the families of our fallen soldiers are unimaginable.

In stark contrast to the enemy, who thrives on hate and destruction, this war has highlighted the finest qualities of the Jewish people – compassion, solidarity, and remarkable acts of bravery.

Recognizing the pain and hardships that the widows and their families endure, we have launched ARIM ROSHI – an initiative designed to support them in rebuilding their lives. The name “ARIM ROSHI” loosely translates to “I shall rise,” which aptly reflects our purpose of offering solace, support, and hope.

Our support encompasses a wide range of services. We strive to gain a deep understanding of each widow’s situation, and our dedicated team addresses these needs with the utmost sensitivity and discretion. Our goal is to complement the official support they receive by offering a listening ear and open heart, helping them navigate the small but significant challenges they face each day in what can often feel like an overwhelming reality.

Our Activities

Many of our activities are based on devoted volunteers and contributions, yet some incur expenses that the ARIM ROSHI fund covers.

Art, ceramic, glass blowing, chocolate workshops

These workshops offer a few hours of respite to create an enjoyable experience with a lasting (and tasty) outcome.

Weekend and weekday retreat at a villa in Tzfat or the Kinar Hotel.

The challenges that families of the fallen soldiers deal with is often overwhelming. These retreats offer them a much-needed breather and a change of scenery.

Pampering massages at any location convenient for the widow.

The importance of self-care for her mental and emotional health is crucial.  A pampering respite to recharge batteries will ultimately benefit the entire family.

Remembering the fallen husband/father/son

Assisting with the sensitive yet inevitable aspect of the bereavement process – remembrance. This entails creating customized albums, books, memorabilia, and multi-media projects as well as helping with organization of memorial events in accordance with the family’s preferences.

'Handyman' services for helping with routine household and car upkeep

A network of volunteers throughout the country offers assistance with home and car maintenance upon request. Occasionally ARIM ROSHI subsidizes costs incurred.

Coordinating donations and gifts by companies or individuals

Often it’s the small things that make the difference. A new appliance, gifts for newborns and their mothers, pampering care-packages before holidays, gift cards for upcoming wedding of fallen soldier’s child, and more…Everything donated makes life just a bit more bearable for a family dealing with their loss.

All donations made to the ARIM ROSHI fund go exclusively towards the initiative’s projects and activities.
In addition, your donation supports Israeli entrepreneurs whose businesses have been adversely affected by the war.
